After we left Orange Beach, Alabama we were going to Hilton Head, South Carolina. When we got there it was really pretty. They had bike paths almost everywhere. When we got there the RV park was really nice also. All of the mossy trees and greenery made it feel relaxing. Once we got there my dad got us plugged in, while my mom was fixing some lunch. The place that we stayed at was called Hilton Head Luxury Motor Coach Resort. If you want to check it out the link will be at the bottom. The day that we got there, me and my mom went for a small bike ride to explore the island. When we got back we looked at places to eat for dinner. We went to Fat Baby's. If you are ever in Hilton Head, this place is the place to go. It was amazing. At the bottom the link to their food is there. It was almost dark out when we left. So, we had to go fast. I am glad it was a short ways away. When we got there we parked our bikes and went inside. All of the chairs were 6 feet apart. We were in and out in a period of 3-6 minutes. It was dark on our way back. At one point I ran into a curb and another time on a turn we almost ran into each other. When we got back, we washed our hands, got out the food, and ate. The food was really good. I got the spaghetti and meatballs. The spaghetti was nice and buttery. Once we finished eating, we did our normal night routine and watched some TV. When it got late, it was time to go to bed.
The next day was all bike riding. We were going to go to Harbor Town. It took us a long time to find our way, but we finally made it. Then all of that was for nothing. They said that bikes weren't aloud, but my dad found another way. The only problem was you had to go all the way around the island, and we didn't have the time to do that because it was already 11:00am and we wanted to do other things. After we left to go back to town, there we a few bigger size bumps on the way back. My butt hurt afterwards. Then, we finally made it to a shopping area. As soon as we parked I already found a store that I wanted to go in. It was a candle shop. It was called Wax and Beyond. I would recommend getting your candle from there. The link is down below to check it out. I got a dancer candle. The amount of detail in them is incredible. If you are in Hilton Head at any time, go to this store and get a candle even if you don't need one. I thought it was really cool that they had lights beside every section of candles, and you could put the candle underneath it to see what it would look like when the candle is lit. Most of them when you put it under light glowed in the dark. So, when you light it up with a match it would light up. I thought that was super cool.
Once we left Wax and Beyond, we walked around a little bit more. Our next stop was a coffee shop. When we went inside it was really nice. They had a small kids area in the back and a big seating area outside. The colors were teal. I got a hot chocolate. When we went they still had their Christmas decorations up. We went outside to take a break and have my hot chocolate. Once I was finished we had to leave and start heading back.
We decided to stop at the beach and see if we could see any dolphins. The people next to us at the campground told us, that at this time of day there would be maybe a few dolphins. When you first get to the beach you have to walk the bikes threw the soft sand. Then, once we got threw the soft sand we were able to hop on our bikes and go. We stopped because we thought we saw dolphins but we didn't. We biked a little bit one way and then started to head the other way. On our way back, we saw some dolphins! Dolphins are one of my favorite animals. One time I got to swim with them when we were on a trip. Every now and then you saw a fin pop up. It was really cool. Once the sun had started setting, we had to head back before it got dark because we didn't have any lights. When we got back we had some dinner and did our normal night routine. Then, we went to bed.
The next morning it was time for me to get back to school. There was no time difference so I was able to log on at the normal time. Every time I am in the RV, my classmates know because they can see the background. They always ask where I am and I get to tell them where I am and what is going on.
Once the day was over, we got Slap Fish for take out. I got a grilled cheese. When we got back it was time to eat. It was amazing. I would totally recommend it if you are in Hilton Head. The link to there website is down below. After we ate and a couple hours went by, we went to bed.
The next day it was the same thing. I got up and logged on to school. Today I was in the front of the RV instead of the back because my mom had to go on the phone. On my breaks I had to start packing up because we were leaving the next day in the morning. For lunch we had some food from a place called Bad Biscuits. The biscuits had an amazing taste to them. We also got some cinnamon rolls. They weren't my favorite, but I still liked them. I got an egg and cheese biscuit. It was really big. I still can't believe I ate the whole thing. Overall, it was amazing. If you want to check them out, their information is down below. After school, I did my homework and I took a couple laps around the RV park. Then, we did our normal night routine and went to sleep. The next day I was doing school when we were on the road. It was perfect timing when we got back because I was just finishing my lunch break. I logged back on for the rest of the day and when I got off, my grandma was pulling in the driveway to drop off our dogs. The rest of the day was unpacking. Our Christmas/New Years trip was over and next month we would be back on the road again.
